Mullaghmore 2024

Footage from Alice’s first swim out in 15ft waves at Mullaghmore, Co Sligo

It was an exhilarating day, witnessing massive waves rolling in and being surfed by some of Ireland's best!

OIshii Film Launch

In November 2023, 'Oishii' premiered at the Irish Surf Film Festival in Galway City.

The film, featuring Julian Farmer, was specifically created for the inaugural edition of the new film festival and secured a place among the top three finalist films.

Other Land film tour

In 2022 we had the pleasure of going on tour with Alice’s surf film ‘Other Land’.

Five screenings across Ireland. Alongside these premieres we hosted surf workshops and panel discussions regarding the future of women’s surfing in Ireland. Whilst also raising money for Bundoran-based charity, Liquid Therapy.

Alice traveled to New York, Portugal and the UK to attend various film festivals. Other Land then went on to screen in 20 different locations across Australia and New Zealand.

SaLT Film Premiere

This November, Alice Ward's latest short film, SALT, made its debut in both London and Ireland, earning acclaim along the way. The film was awarded ‘Best International Short’ at the London Surf Film Festival and ‘Best Short’ at the Irish Surf Film Festival.

Stay tuned for more screening dates, set to be announced for 2025.

Women of the sea film fund

Sea Pea Films has won the 2024 Women of the Sea Film Fund for Alice’s project 'SALT’, selected from a shortlist of 50 films from around the globe.

Produced in collaboration with Finisterre and the London Surf / Film Festival, the film will be premiered at the Festival in October 2024.
